Elaine Fagan, Accredited Play Therapist
Elaine is the founder and owner of Just Bee Children’s Centre. Elaine is passionate about early intervention and supporting children to reach their full potential by overcoming any difficulties that may be having an impact on their overall well-being.
Elaine has been working supporting children and families since 2004 and has over 13 years’ experience working with children who present with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Elaine started her career by obtaining a degree in Early Childhood Care and Education and worked in a variety of Early Years Services in Ireland and Australia.
Elaine qualified as a play therapist from the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy, affiliated to Canterbury Christ Church University, and received her accreditation in 2013.
As an accredited play therapist Elaine has worked in a variety of different settings including primary schools, early years’ services, community centres, voluntary organisations and in private practice.
Elaine also works as a parenting specialist and has extensive experience working in a supportive and advisory capacity with parents and carers who find themselves facing challenges which require support.
Qualifications
- BA Degree in Early Childhood Care & Education
- Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy
- Currently undertaking a Certificate in Clinical Supervision for Creative Arts Therapists
Elaine holds professional membership with Play Therapy Ireland, affiliated to Play Therapy International and adheres strictly to their code of ethics and practice guidelines.
